The department received nine large bags/boxes of unused drugs, weighing in at 215 pounds on Saturday during the national Drug Take-Back Day sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency, said Stamford Police Capt. Drug Take Back Day Scheduled For Westport The Westport Police Department, in cooperation with the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), will be participating in another nationwide “Drug Take Back Day” on Saturday, April 28 to remove potentially dangerous controlled substances from homes.  Police officers will be at the Westport Weston Health District, 180 Bayberry Lane, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. so residents can bring expired, unused or unwanted medications for disposal.
