SHELTON, Conn. -- Shelton residents are invited to a Community Conversation about "Building a Community of Respect" Monday, March 20, at the Plumb Memorial Library.
A panel will look at "Why Words Still Matter" and the rise of hate speech, intolerance, and role citizens play in standing against hate at the event at 6:30 p.m.
"We look forward to beginning" the series, said David Gioiello, Chairman of Shelton Democrats.
Speakers include Steve Ginsburg, Director of the Anti-Defamation League; Shawn Sequeira, Acting Chief of Shelton Police; Christopher Cloulet, Superintendent of Shelton Public Schools; and the Rev. Lucille Fritz, pastor, Huntington Congregational Church.
