Located at 526 South Broadway, Kebab House is known for its freshly prepared staples of Afghan cuisine such as Basmati rice, chicken and beef samosa, lamb chops and of course, a wide array of chicken, lamb, beef and fish kebabs.

The restaurant also offers plenty of vegetarian options as well as classic American fare like burgers, hot wings, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks.

Kebab House makes it easy to order for several people with its family combos, which include kebabs for as many as 12 people. Catering for special events is also available.

In addition to crafting each dish using high-quality ingredients, Kebab House takes no shortcuts when it comes to its freshly prepared desserts.

From well-known classics like tiramisu and baklava to unique sweets like firnie (a traditional Afghan rice pudding topped with crushed pistachios) and jalla (a dessert combining crushed ice, vanilla ice cream and vermicelli noodles topped with a rose-flavored syrup), you’re sure to enjoy the unique yet delectable array of flavors.

Though the eatery is still a relatively new addition to the Hicksville Afghan/Middle Eastern restaurant scene, it is already becoming known as a local staple with a 4.5-star Yelp rating.

“Delicious is all I can say. We ordered two combos. Lamb tikka is properly cooked and flavorful…chicken tikka is just perfect. Comparing another kebab restaurant with 4+ stars in the same area, their food is better in every single way with lower price…Can't wait to go back as soon as possible,” wrote Marty W. in a July 7 review.

Kebab House is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. For more information, visit the restaurant’s website.
