Adam’s House is holding a free public ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the launch of caring, no-cost grief educational programs for Connecticut children and families.

Adam’s House Founder and President Allison Wysota has invited community members and dignitaries, including Lauretti and Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President William E. Purcell, to attend the event.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, volunteers will offer guided tours of the 18 rooms at Adam’s House.

After undergoing extensive remodeling, the charming Victorian home features warm, inviting meeting spaces and colorful, playful murals in rooms for children.

Throughout the day, light fare and refreshments will be served.

At Adam’s House and Mission At Adam’s House believes no child should ever grieve alone. Each child deserves a supportive and understanding community to learn and explore their feelings of loss, the mission statement says. All grief journeys are unique and grief is a natural reaction to the loss of a loved one.

Adam’s House is an entity of The Adam Wysota Foundation and represents a grassroots network of Connecticut supporters and backers from throughout the country who helped raise the funds to purchase the home.

Adam’s House honors the memory of Adam Wysota, a beloved father, Little League coach and active volunteer in his Weston community. Before his death, Wysota held positions on Wall Street at Depository Trust & Clearing Corp., Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Adam’s House is a 501c3 organization. All donations are tax deductible.
