CT Woman, 37, Found Dead Floating In Quinnipiac River Police in Connecticut are investigating after a 37-year-old woman's body was found dead floating in the water of the Quinnipiac River. New Haven Police Officer Christian Bruckhart said the incident occurred in New Haven around 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, near Brewery Square. Bruckhart said the New Haven Fire Department responded with water rescue, and the body was located near James Street and River Streets along the embankment. The incident took place around 6 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Westport, said Lt. Man Pronounced Dead Shortly After Being Pulled From Lake In Litchfield County A man was pronounced dead at an area hospital shortly after he was pulled from a lake in Litchfield County. Litchfield County Dispatched received a 911 report at around 6 p.m. Sunday, July 5 from a woman in Plymouth reporting she could no longer see a man who had been swimming in Lake Winfield in the area of Seymour Road and that she believed he was underwater. Members of the Terryville Fire Department performed a water rescue and pulled the man from the water, Plymouth Police said. Motorists Trapped In Flooded Waters Rescued By Firefighters Stamford firefighters were kept on the run rescuing residents in flooded vehicles late Thursday afternoon through the evening after a line of heavy thunderstorms rolled through the area causing extensive flooding. The Stamford 911 Center began receiving calls at 4:54 p.m. Thursday, for people trapped in flooded cars at the intersection of East Main Street and Myrtle Avenue, underneath the Railroad underpass, said Stamford Fire Capt.
