A man who committed multiple vehicle and traffic violations was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit, according to state police.
Fairfield County resident Javier Gonzalez, of Danbury, 56, was pulled over in Rockland County at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, in Clarkstown, according to state police.
Gonzalez was charged with the misdemeanor of aggravated driving while intoxicated, along with several violations.
He was released to a sober third party, and will appear in the Town of Clarkstown court next month.

A 20-year-old area man was allegedly busted with drugs following a traffic stop for equipment and moving violations.
Cristian Velez, 20, of Norwalk, was arrested on Saturday, June 27, in Fairfield County following a stop by Wilton Police, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk.
According to police, Velez was stopped driving a white 2008 Nissan Altima near the intersection of Danbury Road and Cannon Road for equipment and moving violations.

A 36-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly driving in the wrong direction on I-84.
Vanessa Alejos, of Newington, was arrested around 11:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, in Hartford County, by Connecticut State Police for driving the wrong way on I- 84 in East Hartford, state police said.
