Suspect In Murder At Hamptons Resort Found Dead 200 Miles Away As Friends Mourn 'Gifted Artist'
A Pennsylvania man suspected of murdering a woman at a high-end resort in the Hamptons was found dead hundreds of miles from the crime scene in New York. Thomas Gannon, age 56, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at his home in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, according to Suffolk County Police. Proposed Bill Would Fine CT Residents For Not Voting
Lawmakers in Connecticut have proposed a new bill that could force state residents to vote, or else face a fine. Mandatory voting with a potential $20 fee for violators who cannot provide a valid reason for not heading to the polls was one of more than two dozen election-related bills that have been submitted to the state’s General Assembly. NY Files Lawsuit To Dissolve NRA 'For Years Of Self-Dealing, Illegal Conduct'
Citing "brazen illegality," New York State has filed a lawsuit to dissolve one of the country's most powerful organizations, the National Rifle Association. The announcement by New York Attorney General Letitia James follows an 18-month investigation that found evidence the non-profit gun-rights organization is "fraught with fraud and abuse," contributing to the loss of more than $64 million in just three years.
