CT Woman Nabbed In Fatal Hit-Run Crash Police captured a 45-year-old Connecticut woman for a hit-and-run crash that killed a 47-year-old woman. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 10 p.m., Friday, in the area of Main Street and Boston Avenue in East Haven. East Haven Police said Gina LaVacca, of East Haven, was found suffering from life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a sedan that fled the area. Man Faces Decades In Prison After Admitting To Robbing Three Banks A Connecticut man is facing two decades behind bars after admitting to robbing three banks. New Haven resident Vincent Jones, 50, pleaded guilty on Friday, Feb. 1 to one count of bank robbery at U.S. district court in Bridgeport. Jones admitted to attempting to rob the Key Bank on Main Street in East Haven; robbing Webster Bank on Boston Post Road in Orange of $5,469 on July 31, 2017, and robbing the Bank of America located on Boston Post Road in Milford of $6,578 on Aug. 8 last year.
