String Of Home Burglaries Under Investigation In Fairfield County
Police in a Fairfield County town have stepped up patrols after three homes were burglarized in the last 10 days.
The first burglary took place on Butler Lane in New Canaan on Friday, Oct. 1, where a rear glass door was broken to enter the home. An initial report is that jewelry was stolen, said Chief Leon Krolikowski.
The home, he added, did not have an alarm system.
The second burglary took place on Hoyt Farm Road, on Friday, Oct. 8, where again the rear door was broken to enter the home. An alarm was activated, which caused officers to discover the burglary.

An unlocked SUV that was left overnight with its keys inside in Fairfield County was stolen and other vehicles were entered over the weekend with various items stolen, police said.
Investigators from the New Canaan Police Department responded to an Orchard Drive home at approximately 8:11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, where there was a report of a 2019 Toyota Highlander that had been stolen.

Four High-End Vehicles Stolen From Driveways In New Canaan
A Fairfield County police department is reporting that four vehicles have been stolen out of driveways over the past four days.
The thefts took place between Thursday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 9, in New Canaan, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
According to Krolikowski, around 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, officers responded to Clapboard Hill Road to investigate a report of two motor vehicles missing from the resident's driveway.
