Investigators in Connecticut said their latest arrest created a "notable disruption" in Fairfield County drug crime following a multi-agency investigation, and it's thanks to a group of neighbors fed up with drugs in their community.
Travis Vanterpool-Gordon, 32, of Brookfield, and Lisa Flynn, 53, of Danbury, were arrested following a multi-agency drug investigation that targeted suspected narcotics activity in the Division Street area of Danbury, police said.

CT Man Busted With 145 Vials Of Crack, Other Drugs After Spotted Making Deal, Police Say
A Connecticut man was allegedly busted with 145 vials of crack cocaine, heroin, and other drugs after police spotted him making a deal on a city street.
The bust took place around 3:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, when Waterbury Police Department’s Gang Task Force and Street Crimes Unit saw area resident Yamil Carreras, age 42, conducting drug deals in the area of Baldwin Street, said Sgt. Robert Davis.
After officers stopped Carreras, a search uncovered:
145 vials of crack cocaine (55.6 grams);
24 bags of cocaine (2.8 grams);
54 bags of heroin;

Two 21-year-old men were busted with semi-automatic guns in Fairfield County after police received work the men had guns.
Tyrone Sparks, age 21, Mason, North Carolina, and Jalen Baskerville, age 21, Norlina, North Carolina, were arrested on Wednesday, April 28, by members of the State Police Gang Task Force in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.
The bust went down when task force members learned the men were armed with illegal firearms in a vehicle parked on Trumbull Avenue, said Appleby.

Two Nabbed Attempting To Ship Pot Inside Karaoke Machine In Norwalk
Two men were nabbed in Fairfield County allegedly attempting to ship more than two pounds of marijuana hidden in a karaoke machine.
The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 11, when an employee at a South Norwalk packaging store alerted police that two men were allegedly attempting to ship drugs through the mail, said Norwalk Police Lt. Joe Dinho.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Rickell Demetrius, age 38, of New York City, and Cornelius Medas, age 44, of Bridgeport still on the premises.

Man Busted With Fentanyl/Heroin, Charged With Running Drug Factory In Stamford
A man has been accused of running a drug factory after police uncovered more than 16 grams of fentanyl/heroin in his Fairfield County home.
Eugene Wasicki, 51, of Stamford, was arrested on Thursday, Nov. 19, after officers with the city's Narc Squad served warrants at his home, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
During the search, officers found 16.5 grams of fentanyl/heroin, scales, cutting agents, and packaging, said Conklin.
Agents also found a 32-semi-automatic pistol, which Wasicki is prevented from owning as a repeat convicted felon, police said.

An investigation into drug sales in Fairfield County has led to the arrest of two men and netted the discovery of a kilo of heroin, guns, pounds of pot, and pills.
Kevin Tobar, 23, and Jonathan Matos, 28, both of Stratford, were arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 7, by Stratford Police, said Capt. Frank Eannotti.
According to Eannotti, the two were arrested on a warrant by the Stratford Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit, with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Task Force as well as the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.

Two men were arrested on drug charges following the execution of warrants after an investigation into drug sales in Danbury.
Ariel “MVP” Perez-Hinojosa, 23, of Danbury was arrested Thursday for a variety of drug-related following the search of his Danbury residence, his phone, and his car, Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.
