Five runners from Norwalk completed the Boston Marathon Monday. Competing in terrific conditions, Mark Willkehr led the locals across the finish line in 3:11:08, an average of 7:18 per mile over the hilly 26.2 mile course from Hopkinton to Boston.
The other finishers included: Yvonne Miracle-Colburn, 3:57:56; Kate Stoker, 4:06:13, Alex Dino, 4:30:53; and Hally McGehean, 5:26:45. McGehean ran to raise money for Families First, a Boston-based group that teaches parenting skills. All five runners from Norwalk were competing for the first time in Boston.
