Members of the Mid Fairfield Stars 14-and-under girls hockey team celebrate with the trophy at The Rinks at Shelton after winning the New England Regional on Sunday. The Stars went 5-0 in the tournament to earn a berth in the national tournament next month in Detroit. Players from Main Street Connect communities on the Stars include Norwalk's Nicole Lue and Annie DeFrino, Darien's Sasha Fritts and Fairfield's Taegan Blackwell. Norwalk's Moe Tarrant coaches the team, assisted by Fairfield's Ryan Equale.
