Is this the year you make the jump to a triathlon? If you're from Fairfield County, there is no shortage of choices. With the addition of the Sherwood Island Sprint Triathlon in Westport, nearly every coastal community in Fairfield County now has a triathlon scheduled for 2011.
One triathlon that had been run for the past three years will not take place in 2011. The Trifitness Fairfield Triathlon, which was held in September, has been canceled for this year. Butt is expected to return in 2012.
