Active Rain, a blogging platform with more than 200,000 members in the real estate profession, is running its training camp in Atlantic City, N. J. on April 4 and 5. Tickets cost $79. If you want a guaranteed seat and an invite to the V.I.P. party the price is $139.
Blogging is a key strategy in social media marketing. The Active Rain camp teaches real estate agents the nuts and bolts of how to get started writing a blog, which can help get their name out to buyers. Dagny Eason is an agent based in Wilton who sells real estate throughout Connecticut. She's been blogging with Active Rain for some time and is impressed with the results. "I've had several sales leads from buyers who've read my blog," she says. Dagny is going to the Active Rain camp in Atlantic City next week. "This is my third camp," she says. "It's awesome." Dagny will be part of a three-person panel at the camp.
