Bruce Edward Lorentzen, of Weston, was arrested around 3:17 p.m. on Dec. 18, after Wilton Police officers responded to the turnpike in the area of Stonebridge Road on a report of a drunk driver, Wilton police said.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Lorentzen intoxicated and displaying signs of impairment, police said.
Lorentzen was placed under arrest after failing to perform one sobriety test to standard and then refusing to take further tests.
He was transported to Wilton police headquarters and held on a $260 bond. Lorentzen submitted to breath testing and his test results resulted in 0.1652 percent and 0.1575 percent blood-alcohol levels after two separate tests, police said.
Lorentzen was released to his wife after posting bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 28.
