Norwalk firefighters responded to 7 Bartlett Manor around 2 p.m., where initial reports indicated the outside of the house was on fire. Crews arrived to find thick smoke and flames consuming a large amount of home furnishings on the back patio.

As firefighters stretched hoses to attack the blaze, they saw flames melting the siding of the 1.5-story Cape Cod-style home, with fire beginning to spread.

It took just under 10 minutes for a 34-person crew—including three engine companies, two ladder trucks, a heavy rescue unit, and the Deputy Chief—to knock down the fire before it could cause further damage.

No injuries were reported, and the Norwalk Fire Marshal’s Division is investigating the cause of the blaze.
