Norwalk River Floods Wilton Clinic

When fitness trainers J.P. Signore and Bonnie Thomsen showed up for work Monday morning at Moore Physical Therapy in Wilton, they found the back parking lot of 37 Danbury Rd. completely under water.

“We thought we were going home,” Thomsen said when she arrived at work Monday morning.

Before leaving, the staff at Moore had to contact patients to reschedule appointments and decided to remain open for the day as the water receded back into the river. By noon only the main entrance for Moore and the parking spaces nearest to it were still under water.

The flooding of the Norwalk River has also closed sections of Route 7 in North Wilton. The closed areas are as follows: at Route 33 northbound and at Route 107 southbound the town’s website says. Also sections of Route 7 are closed in Redding and Ridgefield.

A flood warning remains in effect until 1:45 p.m.

Visit Moore’s Facebook page to view earlier video of the flooding.
