Metro-North Reports Danbury Train Delays Due To Downed Tree Near Cannondale

WILTON, Conn. — Train service on the Danbury Branch is experiencing delays due to a downed tree in the vicinity of Cannondale late Monday afternoon, Metro-North said.

The delays on the Danbury Branch are up to 20 minutes due to the downed tree. Also, Metro-North is running shuttle bus service between Cannondale and Wilton to go around the blockage on the tracks, adding to the delay.

Metro-North riders experienced lengthy delays earlier Monday after downed trees were reported on the tracks near the stations in Old Greenwich and Branchville.

Train riders should listen for announcements or speak to train staff.
