The Common Council authorized spending up to $159,000 to replace the roof on the Parks Garage located on South Smith Street in Norwalk. Mike Mocciae, director of Recreation and Parks, said this will be the first time the city has replaced the roof on the flat-top building since in was constructed in the 1970s.
The citys legal department is currently drafting the contract, Mociae said, following the vote at the Common Council meeting Tuesday night. J.J.S. Universal Construction Company is expected to begin the work in two to three weeks.
