Gov. Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement in recognition of Labor Day:
"On this day we honor the innumerable contributions of workers throughout our history who are the very backbone of our nation's success and prosperity. Working men and women have made America a place of innovation and inspiration building and rebuilding our cities, reimagining commerce and pioneering safer working conditions for future generations. We deeply respect the men and women who have worked tirelessly to strengthen our economy and protect our families."
