Raise a Toast to the Nutmeg Tour for Autism

The Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance is an annual automobile and motorcycle event showcasing more than 200 beautiful vehicles from the past 100 years. The eighth annual event will be held Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18, at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport.

To kick off the event, the Nutmeg Tour for Autism will showcase 50 classic Concours vehicles in a 50-mile tour of Fairfield County. The tour will return to the Hunt Club, where it will be greeted by a champagne toast and reception. St. Vincent's Autism Services will be the beneficiary of the Toast the Tour Reception on Sept. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hunt Club. Proceeds will benefit clinical programming and family resources for children and teens with developmental and autism spectrum disorders.

The event includes gourmet refreshments and a Concours signature cocktail by Tito's vodka. Raffle items will be available along with a preview of Bonhams Auction of rare and classic vehicles and memorabilia. J. McLaughlin, clothing retailer, will be styling the Toast the Tour hosts and providing special gift items for all reception attendees.

For the past three years, proceeds from the Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance have gone toward St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Services, a nonprofit health provider that offers diagnostic and therapeutic services to children and adolescents with developmental and Autism Spectrum Disorders. According to Autism Speaks, it is estimated that one in every 110 children is diagnosed with autism. An estimated 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. are affected by autism.

The event has raised more than $100,000 for the Drive to Treat Autism Fund.
