Go Long

Hairstyles get long this autumn, and the bob is temporarily banished. Celebs from Victoria Beckham to Anne Hathaway are opting for softer, longer tresses. The result is alluringly feminine.

Lengthier locks complement some of the season’s hottest looks, like 70s-style sophisticate (think voluminous, Charlie’s Angels hair) and the more playful Rocker Chic.

“The key to keeping hair healthy as you grow it,” says stylist Casey Ciaccia, “is getting regular trims. People think that when they’re growing out their hair, they have to avoid trims. But the opposite is true. A quick trim every six to eight weeks keeps hair looking healthy and shaped as it grows.”
