Musica Plenti Partners with Audubon

Award-winning vocal chamber ensemble Musica Plenti is now Greenwich Audubon Center's first Artists-in-Residence.  The group's new role will be inaugurated at a special Summer Solstice concert called, "Much Ado About Shakespeare" on Saturday, June 19 at 3 p.m. at the Center.Karen Dixon, Audubon Center Director, described the overlap of purpose of Audubon and the musical group. "The Audubon's mission is to protect the birds and other wildlife that call Greenwich home by connecting people to nature.  We are delighted to partner with an organization whose mission is to reconnect people to music, and we welcome Musica Plenti as our first 'Artists-in-Residence.'  This unique collaboration seeks to highlight the power of both nature and music to inspire people to a greater appreciation of the environment, their community and each other."

Robert Puleo, Musica Plenti's Artistic Director, in acknowledging the group's new role said, "The peaceful setting of the Center creates an intimate space for the audience to experience the deep bond which unites the listener with the music." The Summer Solstice concert will include peformances of madrigals, art songs, opera and Broadway and film songs.
