Wrong-Way Driver From Torrington Drove Under Influence In Thomaston, Police Say An alleged wrong-way driver on a busy Connecticut highway who was stopped by state police has been charged with driving under the influence. The incident took place in Litchfield County around 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10 on Route 8 in the area of Exit 39 in the town of Thomaston. Connecticut State Police responded to the area after receiving several 911 calls reporting the wrong-way driver. ID Released For UPS Driver From Waterbury Assaulted, Killed In Connecticut Connecticut State Police have released the identity of a UPS driver killed by a man who assaulted him on Route 8. Nathan D. Burk, 28, of Waterbury, was killed around 10:36 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Litchfield County on Route 8 northbound near Exit 37 in Watertown, said state police.
