New Eatery Sets Opening Date For Second CT Location
A new fast-casual eatery in Stamford serving up Mexican-inspired dishes has set an opening date.
Bubbakoo's Burritos, located in Stamford at 800 E Main St., will open up for business on Wednesday, June 28, according to an announcement from the eatery's owners, Perry and Fenil Patel.

Man Threatened To 'Shoot Up Graduation' At CT School, Police Say
A man faces charges after threatening to harm students at a school in Fairfield County, police said.
Police first learned of the threats on Friday, Feb. 17 around 6 p.m., when two people told state troopers that a student at the Stratford School for Aviation had made the comments at the school, state police said.
According to the two witnesses, a student identified as 21-year-old New Haven County resident Joseph Cyr, of Oxford, had allegedly said that he was going to "shoot up graduation" with a friend or coworker in December 2022.

Man Seriously Injured In Crash, CT State Police Say
A Fairfield County man was seriously injured in a crash after he allegedly lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median, and hit two cars driving in the opposite direction.
Connecticut State Police said the crash took place in New Haven County around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16 in Seymour.
According to troopers, a Toyota Highlander, driven by an Oxford woman, and a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a Beacon Falls man, were both headed north on Route 8 when a 26-year-old Stratford man, who was driving south in an Infiniti veered into the center median for “unknown reasons."

CT Man Killed In ATV Crash While Riding With Brother, Friend
A Connecticut man died in an ATV accident while riding with his brother and a friend.
New Haven County resident Sebastian Constantini, age 47, of Oxford, was killed around 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, in Madrid, Maine, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing.
Mark Latti, a spokesman with the Maine Warden Service, said Constantini was riding on the Interconnected Trail System, on a 2019 Suzuki King Quad ATV, and his brother and friend were on separate ATVs following him.
The three were returning to the Saddleback Inn in Rangeley, Maine, after a day of riding.

Social media can help with just about anything, including when you find a wayward emu in your backyard and don't know what to do.
Yep, an emu, and not the one from the Liberty Mutal commercial.
But that's what happened to New Haven County resident Jen Rich, of Oxford, when her dog came upon the large bird in their backyard.
The dog startled the emu who ran and got stuck in a tangle of bushes.

Body of Bridgeport Boy Found in Oxford Woods; Suspect Arrested
The body of a missing Bridgeport boy has been found in Oxford.
Jose Nunez, 14, of Bridgeport, has been missing since Tuesday, July 28. His body was discovered, dead, in a wooded area in Oxford off Wyant Road, said Bridgeport police.
Dante Willoughby, 19, of Bridgeport, has been arrested in connection with Nunez’s death, police said. He was arrested during a traffic stop on Route 67 in Oxford, Wednesday, July 29, police said.
An autopsy report revealed that Nunez was killed by strangulation and the matter has officially been deemed a homicide, police said.
