Murder Conviction: Manchester Woman Admits To Role In 2020 Killing Of Father Of 3
A Connecticut woman pleaded guilty Tuesday, June 6, to helping cover up the kidnap and murder of a Massachusetts man on Christmas Eve 2020, federal authorities said. Hartford County resident Shamari Smith, 34, of Manchester, faces up to three years after admitting to misprision of felony in the kidnap and killing of Francisco "Paco" Roman, the US Attorney for Connecticut said. Couple From Region Arrested For Fighting With Police
A Western Massachusetts couple was arrested on a variety of charges including driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest following a traffic stop. The incident took place on Saturday, Sept. 18 in Hampden County when Michelle Siddle, age 54, of Ludlow, was stopped for failing to stop at the intersection of Fuller Street and Chapin Street. While speaking to police, she admitted to drinking alcohol that evening, and officers were able to detect signs that she was impaired, the Ludlow Police Department said. A former FBI agent, who was found guilty of leaking information to notorious Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger that led to the killing of a major sports figure, is being released from prison early on medical grounds. On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the Florida Commission on Offender Review voted to release John Connolly, who has cancer, so that he may die at home. Massachusetts U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Gambino Crime Family Members Admit To Multiple Crimes
A dozen members and associates of the Gambino organized crime family of La Cosa Nostra admitted to multiple crimes, including racketeering conspiracy, fraud, obstruction of justice and related offenses for criminal activities throughout the New York metropolitan area committed as part of the illicit activities of the Gambino family. Drug Dealer In New Haven-To-Fitchburg Trafficking Ring Gets 10 Years In Prison
An ex-convict from Hamden was sentenced to over 10 years in prison and eight years of post-supervision release for his part in a narcotics trafficking ring. Frank "FL" Carr, 53, provided a kilogram of cocaine to the leader of a drug trafficking network in March of 2019 and sold crack-cocaine to undercover FBI agents on two occasions in May and June, according to the office of U.S. Attorney John H.
