Man Charged In Connection With Fatal CT Hit-Run Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist dead, lying in the roadway. Stamford Police arrested a city man on Thursday, Aug. 12, who was involved in the fatal collision on Friday, Nov. 6 that left a 19-year-old dead, according to authorities. Tractor-Trailer Crash Causes Hours-Long I-95 Delays This story has been updated. There were delays of around two hours on a stretch of I-95 after a tractor-trailer crash in Fairfield County. The crash happened on the northbound side Friday morning, Aug. 21 at around 4 a.m., initially shutting down all lanes in Darien between Noroton Avenue/Exit 10 and Route 1/Exit 11. One lane reopened around daybreak with traffic backed up to Harvard Avenue/West Avenue (Exit 6) in Stamford. The highway did not fully reopen until the end of the morning commute.
