'Loved By So Many': Friends Remember Oxford Man Killed In Northern CT Crash
Authorities have identified the 22-year-old Oxford, Massachusetts, man who died after crashing his dirt bike at Quaddick State Forest in Connecticut just days before Christmas. Steven Zografos was riding in in Windham County, in the town of Thompson, on Saturday, Dec. 23, when he crashed with another dirt bike rider just before 4 p.m., NBC Connecticut reported. He died at the scene. A 21-year-old was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to an area hospital. He is expected to survive, the report said. Teen Seriously Injured Doing 'Wheelie' On Dirt Bike On CT Roadway
A 17-year-old Connecticut teen was seriously injured while allegedly doing a "wheelie" on a dirt bike. The incident took place in New Haven County around 4:45 p.m., Monday, May 22, near East Broadway and Shea Avenue in Milford. An initial investigation revealed that a green Kawasaki dirt bike was traveling west on East Broadway near Shea Avenue when the operator lost control and fell from the dirt bike while he was doing a "wheelie," police said. A Western Massachusetts man is behind bars after allegedly trying to grab a police officer’s gun during an arrest. Springfield Police were called just before 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, with reports of a crash involving a dirt bike near Bay Street and Girard Avenue. When officers arrived, the driver of the dirt bike took off running and was arrested after a short foot pursuit, according to Springfield Police. Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash between an SUV and a dirt bike in Fairfield County that police believe injured the dirt bike driver who fled. The crash took. place around 6 p.m., Saturday, July 31 in Easton, on Eden Hill Road. The dirt bike was reported to be white and was riding with another white dirt bike when one of the bikes hit the SUV, according to Easton Police.
