CT Man, 23, Charged In Mail Theft, Check Fraud Scam A 23-year-old Connecticut man has been charged in connection with an alleged mail theft/check fraud investigation. Kenyel Ventura-Villa, of New Haven, was arrested on Feb. 29 by warrant where he was alleged to have deposited stolen and forged checks in 2022 into an account belonging to a woman who was also arrested last year, said Lt. Anna Tornello of the Wilton Police.  Ventura-Villa was charged with: Larceny Conspiracy to commit larceny Conspiracy to commit ID theft  He was held on a $100,000 bond.

Man Accused Of Stealing $1K Worth Of Items From CT Lowe's Store A Hudson Valley man was arrested and accused of stealing merchandise worth $1,000 from a Connecticut store more than seven years ago. That merchandise was allegedly stolen from Lowe's, located in New Haven County at 311 Old Gate Lane in Milford, in October of 2014, the Milford Police Department said. Dutchess County resident Michael Horowitz, age 30, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, March 18, in the incident, police said.  He was charged with fifth-degree larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, authorities said.

Duo Accused Of Stealing $398 Worth Of Items From CT Walmart A Fairfield County man and woman were arrested for allegedly stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise from an area Walmart. Lamar Norris, age 35, and Shanna Kinch, age 30, both of Bridgeport, were arrested on Sunday, July 18 by Milford Police at the Walmart on Boston Post Road. According to police, the two are accused of stealing more than $398 worth of merchandise from the store. They were charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny and released on a promise to appear ticket.

Man Nabbed In Ansonia Store Robbery, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for an alleged robbery of a New Haven convenience store.  Shanqueto Pinnock, 19, of Stratford, was arrested on Wednesday, March 17, for his involvement in the October armed robbery of the S&A Mart at 95 Wakelee Ave. in Ansonia, said Lieutenant Patrick Lynch. Leroy Shaw, of Ansonia, was arrested on Monday, July 13, on a warrant by Ansonia Police for his alleged involvement in the crime that took place on Dec. 31, 2018, said Lt. Patrick Lynch.
