Power Outage Closes Elementary School In Allentown Allentown's Ramos Elementary School is closed on Tuesday, May 28 due to a power outage, district officials say.  Jackson Early Childhood Center is also closed for the day, administrators said. No other Allentown schools are affected by the outage.  According to the PPL outage map, the issue was caused by a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Crews have been dispatched to make repairs and PPL said they hope to restore power by 3:30 p.m.

Bus Hits Pedestrian In North Philadelphia: SEPTA One person was hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Philadelphia's Hunting Park on Monday night, May 27.  SEPTA said it happened near the corner of 13th Street and Erie Avenue around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was hit by the left side mirror of a Route 56 bus, according to transit officials.  "The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition, however, the injuries are reported to be non-life threatening," a spokesperson said.  No one on the bus was injured, they added.
