Suspect Apprehended After Police Sergeant Stabbed During 'Unprovoked' Attack In Westchester
A police sergeant is recovering at home after being stabbed during an unprovoked attack by a local Westchester County resident who has been apprehended. The attack took place around 1:26 p.m., Thursday, May 20 in Dobbs Ferry. The Dobbs Ferry Police sergeant, whose name has not been released, was assisting Con Edison with a traffic detail on Beacon Hill Drive, said Dobbs Ferry PD Chief Manuel Guevara. The sergeant was able to make an "officer needs assistance" call to the department and report that he had been assaulted by a man wielding "possibly" a knife, according to Guevara. …

Man, Woman Killed In Two-Vehicle Westchester Crash
A man and woman were killed in a two-vehicle crash overnight in Westchester. It happened at around 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11 in Yonkers at the intersection of Yonkers Avenue at Walnut Street. Yonkers Police Department officers responded to the scene after a Westchester County Department of Public Safety report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Man Charged With Arson For Involvement In Port Chester House Fire
A man has been charged with arson for his alleged involvement in a house fire that took dozens of firefighters in Westchester hours to extinguish. Michael Johnson 45, of White Plains, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 30, and charged with arson for allegedly starting the raging fire in the vacant home on Smith Street in Port Chester, that took place around 5 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, according to the Port Chester Police. The ages and hometowns have been released of the four people critically injured when a drunk driver backing out of a parking space hit two vehicles before continuing in reverse and slamming into the front of Enzo's Restaurant in the Village of Mamaroneck.
