Man, Woman Nabbed After Stealing Vehicle With Service Dog Inside In Stamford: Police
A man and woman were apprehended after stealing a vehicle with a service dog inside in Fairfield County. Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Stamford, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the west side of the city. The vehicle, which was left running, was stolen from Richmond Hill Avenue. Upon taking the report from the owner, officers learned that the stolen vehicle was occupied by a small service dog. Multiple Shots Fired In Busy Area During Morning Commute In Fairfield County, Police Say
Residents of a busy Fairfield County city street were ducking for cover when shots began flying during the morning commute. The shooting took place around 8 a.m., Monday, Sept. 27 near the corner of Richmond Hill Avenue and Mission Street in Stamford. According to Captain Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police, police responded to the area after receiving multiple reports of shots fired in the area. Barbershop Owner Faces Drug Charge In Stamford
A barbershop owner was arrested after police officers saw a bag of cocaine fall out of his pocket while locking his business, Stamford Police said. The incident took place around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, when Officers Jamie Torres and Matthew Pompa decided to do some “old fashioned” police work, said Stamford Police Lt. Michael Noto. "They got out of their patrol cars and starting walking some neighborhoods in the City’s West Side," Noto said.
