A 31-year-old area man turned himself in to police after learning he was wanted on a warrant in connection for allegedly stealing four personal watercraft earlier this year.

Jerrysan Rohena, 31, of Waterbury, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, for the alleged thefts of the four vehicles worth more than $50,000, said the Newtown Police.

The thefts were in September and October of this year along Lake Lillinonah, Lake Zoar, police said.

After the thefts, a long investigation led to Rohena, who was charged with four counts of larceny, which is a felony.

He was processed and released on a $50,000 bond.

Rohena is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Dec. 19.
