Feds Charge Suspected Drug Dealer In Heroin ODs In Shelton
SHELTON, Conn. — Police arrested a 20-year-old man on federal charges in connection with a heroin-related death in Derby and two heroin overdoes in Shelton, police said. Bradley Commerford, of Derby, was identified as a suspect after the U.S. attorney’s office, the Drug Enforcement Agency's New Haven Tactical Diversion Squad, and detectives from the Derby, Shelton, Ansonia, and Monroe Police Departments put together a joint task force to investigate the source of this heroin.

On Saturday, Feb. 20, actress Kimberly Wilson of Westport will present her original one-woman musical show “A Journey …” Using words and music, Wilson will bring to life Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks and Maya Angelou. Newtown Dad Comes Up Short In Bid For Grammys For Jazz Album
DANBURY, Conn. -- Jimmy Greene, a music professor at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, came up short in his bid to win two Grammys on Monday night.
Greene, who lives in Newtown, had been nominated for Best Jazz Instrumental Album for "Beautiful Life," and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for his arrangement of his composition, “When I Come Home,” featuring vocalist Javier Colon.
Greene was inspired to make the jazz album in memory of his daughter, Ana Márquez-Greene, who was 6 when she was killed in the Sandy Hook shootings.
