Stamford Man Who Ran Stop Sign In Darien Crash Under Influence, Police Say A Stamford man has been charged after police say he ran a stop sign in Darien while under the influence. Darien Police say they responded to the area of Camp Avenue and Hollow Tree Ridge Road on a report of an accident on Sunday, Oct. 20 around 11:15 p.m. Officers had been notified of the crash’s location via the vehicle’s “On-Star” air-bag alert system, police say. Police arrived and discovered that a Ford Focus had sustained significant front end damage.
