Suspect At Large After Store Employee Shot During Robbery, Bridgeport Police Say An employee of the Gigante Market in Bridgeport was shot during a robbery at the store by an armed suspect still on the run. The incident took place around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, April 18, at the market located at 966 State St., said Bridgeport Police spokesman Terron Jones. According to Jones,  a suspect described as a tall black male wearing all black clothing including a black mask and gloves entered the market and went behind the counter, displayed a firearm, and shot the store employee in the right leg inches below the knee.
