Wire Damage Causes Lengthy Metro-North Delays During Morning Commute This story has been updated. Metro-North New Haven Line westbound service experienced delays of 45 to 50 minutes during the height of the morning commute on Monday, June 17. The delays, reported just before 8 a.m., were due to single-tracking as a result of wire damage between Bridgeport and Stratford, the MTA said. Eastbound service operated from Grand Central Terminal to Bridgeport. Substitute bus service was provided from Bridgeport to New Haven due to wire damage between Bridgeport and New Haven.
