29-Year-Old Man Gunned Down On CT Roadway In Broad Daylight
A man walking down a Connecticut city street was killed by a passenger in a vehicle firing out of the window in broad daylight. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. in New Haven on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the intersection of Grand Avenue and East Pearl Street. According to Sgt. Cherelle Carr of the New Haven Police, officers responded to the area after receiving a report of a gunshot victim. An urgent manhunt that began after 18 people were killed and 14 injured in a mass shooting at two locations in Lewiston, Maine, ended overnight with the discovery of the 40-year-old suspect's body. The incident took place in Hartford County at Southington High School early Thursday, Oct. 26 in Southington. According to Lt. Authorities are searching for the suspect of a shooting in Connecticut that left a 17-year-old dead and another man injured. The incident happened in New London County on Wednesday, Oct. 18 just before 8 p.m., when Norwich Police responded to the area of Cedar Street to investigate a reported disturbance. Two men are dead in Fairfield County following a shootout during a disagreement. The incident took place in Bridgeport around 2:45 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12 in the 100 block of Carleton Avenue. A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Florida Gov. and GOP Presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis with a gun. Brendan Hughes, age 22, of Shelton, was arrested on Friday, July 14, said Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police. Hughes was charged with threatening and held on a $1,000 bond, Kozlowsky said.
