Trinity Catholic HS In Stamford To Close Following Academic Year Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford will be closing after the school year, the Diocese of Bridgeport announced on Thursday, Feb. 27. "It is with deep personal sadness that I write to inform you that Trinity Catholic High School will not reopen its doors for the 2020-21 academic year," Bishop of Bridgeport, Rev. Frank J. Former Priest In Fairfield County Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Minor A former Fairfield County priest remains behind bars after turning himself in to police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. The Rev. Jaime Marin-Cardona, 51, has been charged with three counts of illegal sexual contact, three counts of sexual assault and of risk of injury to a child, said the Diocese of Bridgeport. According to the diocese, Marin-Cardona was removed from ministry in September 2019, after the diocese received a letter from the minor's parents voicing concerns about his contact with a family member. After serving in the U.S. Navy Cingari spent the next 67 years, first as vice president of Grade A ShopRite Supermarkets, and in the early '80s, rising to become president and CEO, a position he has held to date. Frank Gomez, pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Bridgeport since 2015, was removed as pastor of the city’s largest parish, for what Caggiano said was violating the diocese’s policies on contact with children.
