Prison Nurse From CT Rapes Inmate, Police Say
A Connecticut man employed as a nurse at a New York prison is charged with raping an inmate, police say. The incident was originally reported by New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision officials at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility in Northern Westchester in September 2022, state police said. This report prompted an investigation that eventually determined that 54-year-old Waterbury resident Michael Adeleke had allegedly raped an inmate. After serving 27 years for murdering her lover’s wife in a case that attracted national attention and which was chronicled in two movies, Carolyn Warmus is now a free woman. The former Westchester County school teacher at the center of the notorious 1989 "Fatal Attraction" slaying, was released from the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, on Monday, June 17 after having been granted parole last month. In a case that attracted national attention and which has been chronicled in two movies, the former Westchester school teacher who killed her lover’s wife in the notorious 1989 "Fatal Attraction" slaying has been granted parole. Carolyn Warmus, now 55, was sentenced to 25 years to life in 1992 for fatally shooting Greenburgh resident Betty Jeanne Solomon, the wife of Warmus' lover, Paul Solomon, nine times in the back.
