A summer program as well as a school-year program is available for toddlers. Each is a two-hour drop-off program consisting of free-play, story and music time, an art project and snack in a classroom setting. Children learn new songs, create works of art and make new friends in a class of up to eight students taught by two experienced and caring teachers.
The programs, which are the first formal educational experience for many children, promote each child’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The classroom atmosphere fosters warmth and respect for children to develop a sense of safety, self-esteem, and competence.
The Toddler Time program begins in September 2014 and meets for a full school year until May 2015. Families can enroll their toddlers for one, two or three days per week. To be eligible for Toddler Time children must turn 2 before Dec. 31.
The Summer Fun program begins in May and meets for 10 weeks. Families can enroll their toddlers for one, two or three days per week. To be eligible for Summer Fun children must turn 2 before the start of the program. The programs are open to the public, but space is limited.
