The exhibit will take place from Saturday, Nov. 22, through Wednesday, Dec. 24. It will also be shown at the Silvermine School of Art Holiday Sale in New Canaan on Saturday, Dec. 6, and Sunday, Dec. 7, and St. Paul’s Holiday Market at 60 East Ave. in Norwalk from Thursday to Sunday, Dec. 4 to 7.
Atkin, who was recently awarded best in show in the photography and sculpture exhibition at the Rowayton Arts Center Gallery, is also part of Clay Talk, a group of eight local ceramic artists and potters committed to providing high-quality ceramic work and unique handcrafted gifts.
“My pottery is a truly a labor of love, and it is so much fun to know that I can share it and provide a unique gift for someone to give or collect," Atkin said.
Atkin has lived in Darien since 1945 and taught art at Tokeneke School for many years. She is an avid potter and a board member of the Darien Arts Center and Rowayton Arts Center. For more information about Atkin’s pottery, email her at apatkin@aol.com.
