Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing Brother-In-Law In Bridgeport
A man accused of stabbing his Fairfield County brother-in-law to death after allegedly breaking up a fight between the victim and his wife has been ordered held on a $1 million bond.
Jahleel Bailey, age 22, of Staten Island, waived extradition from New York on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and was sent back to Bridgeport to face murder charges.

ID Released For Bridgeport Man Found Dead In Front Of Home
A man found dead in front of a home in Fairfield County has been identified.
Brandon Goode, 26, of Bridgeport, was found dead around 7:25 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, when Bridgeport Police responded to 242 Harral Ave., for a reported assault, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.
When officers arrived on the scene they found the 26-year-old man suffering from wounds to his lower extremities, said Bridgeport PD Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.
An autopsy revealed that Goode died after being stabbed multiple times in the legs, buttocks, and groin, Appleby said.

Religious Artifacts Saved During Fire At Church In Bridgeport
Firefighters were able to save religious artifacts for parishioners during a fire at a Fairfield County church.
The fire, at the Greater St. John Fire-Baptized Holiness Church, at 804 Fairfield Ave., in Bridgeport, was reported around 11:20 p.m., Thursday, said Scott Appleby, director of the city's Office of Emergency Management.
Arriving firefighters found a working fire, but were able to extinguish without any injuries, Appleby said.
During the fire, Appleby said firefighters were able to save religious artifacts found on the first floor.

Police are asking the public for help locating a Fairfield County teenager who has been missing since Feb. 25.
Bridgeport Police issued a Silver Alert on Tuesday, April 7, for Christine Smith, 17, of Bridgeport, who is classified as an endangered runaway, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.
Smith, who is said to frequent the area of downtown Bridgeport bus station, was last seen on Feb. 22 on Dayton Road in Bridgeport.

A man found shot and killed in Bridgeport has been identified by police.
Philip Ingram, 57, of Bridgeport, became the city's third homicide victim of the year when he was shot around 9:10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.
According to Appleby, the department received a call from a man around 9 a.m., saying that he had just had a verbal altercation with another person who brandished a weapon in the area of Artic and Jane streets.

A man has been shot and killed in Bridgeport in the city's third homicide of the year.
Bridgeport Police received information regarding a possible shooting around 9:10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14, in the 800 block of Kossuth Street, said Scott Appleby, director of the Office of Emergency Management.
On the scene, officers found a man in the roadway, Appleby said.

A 47-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his neighbor and then himself numerous times.
Terrell Culver, of Bridgeport, was arrested Saturday, Feb. 1, after Bridgeport Police received a call that two men were in a dispute on Myrtle Avenue, said Scott Appleby, director of Bridgeport's Office of Emergency Management.
