Danbury Police Warn Of Fake 'Health Inspector' Targeting Nail Salons DANBURY, Conn. -- The Danbury Police Department warned businesses of a person posing as "health inspector" for the city and charging businesses for inspections. Bethel Girls Celebrate First Conference Basketball Title BETHEL, Conn. -- Bethel High School's girls basketball team made history Wednesday night as it defeated New Fairfield, 44-37, at a packed Newtown High School to win its first South-West Conference tournament championship. 7 Fairfield County School Districts Ranked Among Top 10 In State By Niche FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The school districts in Fairfield County got high overall marks in the state — and seven were ranked among the Top 10 in a report by Niche.com. Nearly all of the school districts in Fairfield County were among the Top 100 in the state. Westport led the rankings, followed by New Canaan, Greenwich and Weston.
