Former Danbury Basketball Star Earns 3rd Straight Conference Honor FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Danbury High School grad Casey Smith picked up her third all-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference basketball honor Monday. Smith, a senior, was named third-team All-MAAC. Teammate Kelsey Carey was named All-MAAC first team. Smith scored a career-high 12.3 points per game and grabbed 6.0 rebounds per game, also a career high. Bridgeport Woman Pleads Guilty To Snatching Baby BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport woman faces up to five years in prison after pleading guilty to snatching a baby from the arms of her mother, according to a story on CTPost.com. Brenda Fresse, 38, grabbed the baby from the arms of her mother on Dec. 19, 2015 as the mother was getting her keys out to enter her home on Jones Avenue, the story said.
