An Atlantic County man accused of killing another man while awaiting sentencing will spend several years in prison on his original charge, authorities said. Kalief Lyons, 35, of Galloway Township, was sentenced on Tuesday, May 28 to 10 years in prison on a gun charge, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. The National Weather Service says another round of thunderstorms is right around the corner. Wednesday, May 29 will start out sunny with a high of 78. Come the late afternoon, showers with "a few thunderstorms" and a chance of downpours are likely across New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania, the NWS says. Storms are expected to being around 3 p.m., with a higher chance of heavier rain in North Jersey than South Jersey. Showers could stick around into Thursday, May 30 , which will will be mostly cloudy with a high of 75, the NWS says.

Ethan Allen is coming to Somerset County. The furniture retailer announced they will be opening a 4,321 square feet showroom at Greenbrook Commons in Watchung, at the site of a former Chase Bank. A Toms River man was accused of stealing several credit cards from vehicles and fraudulently using them, authorities said. Kristopher Fudali was arrested after an investigation into three vehicle burglaries in the North Dover neighborhood between January and April, the Toms River Police Department said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 28.
