Virginia Band Director Had Inappropriate Relationship With Ex Student: Police Police arrested a 41-year-old high school band director last week for having an inappropriate relationship with a then 15-year-old student in 2020, authorities said. Ryan Addair, the former band director at Chancellor High School in Fredericksburg and current band leader at a Henrico County High School, met with the student at two locations during their month-long relationship in March 2020, the Spotsvylvania Sheriff's Office said.
