Teen Being Tried As Adult For DC Carjacking Let Go Despite Government's Objection: Feds A teen carjacker who recently turned 18 is facing federal charges after being indicted by a Superior Court grand jury for an incident last summer, authorities announced. District resident Alvin Halmon-Daniels, now 18, was charged as an adult for armed carjacking and other offenses in connection to the June 2023 carjacking of a woman's vehicle in Northeast DC.  He was 17 at the time.
