At around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an alert was issued by the Arlington County Police Department advising that officers are investigating reports of a written threat at Gunston Middle School. Mystery Gunman Prompts Shelter In Place For Fredericksburg Residents: Police Police in Fredericksburg are seeking the identity and whereabouts of a man who they say was armed, prompting a lockdown of a neighborhood Wednesday, May 24. A police presence was reported at Colonial Village and Greenbrier as of 1:15 p.m.  "No one was injured. However, we believe he is armed, dangerous, and in the area of Alum Springs Park and Greenbrier Drive," police said.
