These Are The 9 Neglected Dogs Some Emaciated, With Broken Bones Rescued In Arlington During the month of April, nine dogs suspected of abuse and neglect were rescued by the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The first to come to the shelter were Shih Tsu's Taavi and Trella, who "had been kept in terrible conditions, cramped in filthy cat crates in their owner’s bathroom," AWLA said. The owner surrendered them and they both went on to find loving homes. Then came Stormy, a dog with a broken leg whose owner neglected to provide the necessary care, causing her leg to become necrotic. Stormy's leg was so damaged that it ultimately was amputated.
